I use the Texamatic unit on my narrow boat, it is fantastic.
At the moment it is connected to my central heating. I text it half an hour
before I reach the boat and when I get there it is nice and warm. Although there
is a timer I don't always know when I will be there. It is so versatile. It
is possible to set a duration time. Mine is set to one hour. There is a spare
relay if I want it (shame it is not practical to operate the kettle). The sms
text alerts will be wired into the. Burglar alarm. Fire carbon monoxide alarm.
Water in the bilge alarm. Low temperature alarm (I am not sure what to set it to
yet). I would defiantly recommend it to anyone with a good boat and it would be
a good idea in a new boat.

The OS900, and the octopus cable that shipped with it, are excellent items of kit. |

The OS900 runs famously on both OS/2 Warp 4.0 and eComstation 2.0 RC5 in the 133MHz 64bit PCI-X slot of an IBM X345 rackmount server. I used the COM16.EXE driver as found at
http://www.os2site.com/sw/drivers/serial/index.html and the card was instantly recognised as COM2 through 9, all shared on IRQ3.
I'm driving Dataforth DCP485 DIN-rail mounted RS232-RS485 line drivers and the OS900 is handling the RTS direction control timing perfectly. |

I am typically using them via virtualbox emulated windoze applications on a
Linux host in an industrial setting for PLC/HMI/Hardware applications. |

The ftdi chipset is well supported under Linux and the
Linux/virtualbox emulation is flawless. |

To date I have yet to find hardware it does not work on. |

I have in the past trailed a huge number of different brands/models of
USB to serial converters and all have failed on various hardware combinations. This appears to be common trend amongst others in the field I talk too, all of which run windoze natively on their laptops.
Hence it is now very nice to have a converter that just works. |

The only improvement I could think of, would be to have a version that knocks around in a bag better. I currently grind the din rail mounts off the single port versions that knock about in the bag. for permanent fixtures the DIN is perfect. I also commonly use the 2 port USB-2COM Pro and it works equally
well.

what we required and is easy to install. |

The setting up is a bit complicated but achievable. |
|
We use the product to switch our car park lighting on and off when we have events on outside our normal working hours. |

But an excellent product and we will be purchasing more for other sites. |

You will be very pleased to know that, despite our last telephone conversation, the GSM-AUTO IS working fine and has performed and behaved itself over the last weekend. Using the controller to work 2 20 amp contactors has worked fine. And I am now going try to get it to switch 2 controllers wired together (so I can get 4 heaters working if required).

I just wanted to congratulate you on the design of such a
marvelous product as the BT232P Serial Bluetooth Pair. The package arrived in very good time by a courier that actually pays attention to the customers comments and was very helpful! The dongles came with everything needed to set them up and the instructions were short, precise and easy to understand. Even the
Bluetooth dongles themselves provided assistance while I was configuring them! But the price is the biggest advantage. I did some shopping around and found that others were asking the same price for 1 dongle as you asked for the pair! And for such a full featured
ingenious design I feel like I got them from the best place! Within about half an hour my small robot was running about the floor completely
independent of the computer!
Brilliant delivery, brilliant product, brilliant company.
